What’s holding the business back—and what needs to change?

01

The follow-up that slips.

A quote, customer request or internal approval is waiting—and no one is clear on who owns the next step.

02

Information everywhere.

The numbers and details exist. Getting a clear view of performance, costs or capacity still takes too much work.

03

Too much depends on you.

The business has grown, but key decisions and everyday knowledge still sit with you or a handful of people.

Three waiting documents converge on one rust-colored approval point.
04

The next move isn’t clear.

Growth, changing demands and new technology raise operating questions. What needs to change, what should come first, and where is investment worthwhile?

It doesn’t all need a new system. But it deserves a better way.

A customer request. Two ways to handle it.

Less chasing. A clearer next step.

A customer request moves forward when the information is together, responsibility is clear and everyone knows what happens next.

The experience behind Tether

Sean Wittig, founder of Tether

Sean Wittig

Founder

Sean spent 22 years at PwC, including eight as a partner, working with public companies, investor-backed businesses and startups.

His connection to owner-led businesses began at home, watching his parents run an electrical contracting company. He saw how cash flow, staffing and everyday decisions affected both the business and the family behind it.

Tether brings those perspectives together: financial and commercial judgment, an understanding of governance and accountability, and practical help improving how a business operates.

A few things you may be wondering.

Everyone’s talking about AI. Am I falling behind?

Not necessarily. Adopting AI just to say you’re using it isn’t a strategy. Start with what would make your business stronger, then consider whether AI can help. There should be a clear reason to invest—and a benefit that justifies the cost, effort and risk.

I’m still chasing updates and approving routine decisions. Can you help?

Yes. If quotes, customer requests or everyday approvals keep coming back to you, we look at why. Clearer responsibilities, better information and agreed decision limits can help your team move things forward without involving you every time.

I don’t need a big implementation project. Can I just talk through a decision with you?

Yes. You might be weighing a software purchase, deciding where to invest or considering what needs to change before the business grows. You can engage Tether for independent advice on that decision without committing to implementation.

Can you help improve our processes too?

Yes. We can help simplify handoffs, clarify responsibilities, improve reporting and strengthen operating controls. Those improvements can stand on their own or be combined with changes to your systems.

Will I need to replace my existing software?

Usually not. We start with the tools you already use and look at what can be improved or connected. If a replacement is worth considering, we help you weigh the benefits, costs and disruption.

Can you collaborate with our team and other service providers?

Yes. We can collaborate with your team and providers such as your accountant, IT company or software vendor. We agree who is responsible for each part of the engagement and where specialist input is needed.

What is an AI agent, and how do I stay in control?

An AI agent can use information and connected tools to carry out a sequence of tasks, such as reviewing an enquiry and preparing a response. Our focus is on appropriate guardrails: what it can access, what it can do, what requires your approval and when it must stop and ask. We test those boundaries and agree how activity and exceptions will be reviewed.

How are your services priced?

We agree the scope, fees, responsibilities and expected third-party costs before services begin. Assessment, advice, implementation and ongoing support can be scoped separately.

How long would an engagement take?

That depends on the question you need answered or the change you want to make. A focused advisory engagement has different requirements from an implementation involving several systems and people. We agree the timing and milestones once the scope is clear.

Can you stay involved after changes are introduced?

Yes. Ongoing support can include reviewing results, addressing issues and adapting agreed processes or systems as your needs change. We define what Tether will handle and what stays with your team.

What would you like to work better?

Bring an operating challenge, an opportunity or a decision. We’ll discuss where Tether could help and a practical next step.
